Donate to WIN (official rules)

This raffle is ONLY open to Northfield high school students.
(1) Make a donation of at least $5 via GoFundMe or VENMO, by Sept. 30, to have your name entered into the drawing for one of 10 restaurant gift cards valued at $20 each.

(2) Students earn one entry for every $5 donated, up to 4 entries (a total of $20).

(3) If a student donates more than $20, only 4 entries will be allocated for the drawing.

(4) On or about October 3, ten names will be randomly drawn from the list of qualifying entries.

(5) Winners may be announced during the Ca-Ca News Network announcements, and will be notified via email that they have won, and how to obtain their prize.  Winners will be verified that they are, in fact, NHS students, prior to any announcement or notification of winning.

(6) Winners will have 3 school days from the date of announcement to claim their prize.  Unclaimed prizes or disqualified winners will result in a subsequent drawing(s) for new winners.

(7) Students can only win once.  If a student's name is pulled multiple times because they earned multiple entries, a new name will be drawn after the initial win.

(8) Odds of winning are solely contingent upon the number of qualifying donations.

(9) Students can increase their odds of winning by increasing the amount of their donation by $5 dollars to earn additional entries (e.g. Student 1 donates $5, earns one entry; Student 2 donates $15, earns 3 entries).

WAITLISTED?
Here's what you need to know. . .

  • DON'T CANCEL, YET - things can change very quickly. . . someone who enrolled may have to cancel. . . we may increase the traveler cap to allow more students to go.
  • Waitlisted travelers lock-in their price AND applicable discounts based on the date they are waitlisted, not when they roll up from the waitlist.  If you cancel and enroll later because spots open up. you're likely to pay a higher price, and you forfeit any discounts offered during the enrollment period.
  • MORE DETAILS COMING about how long you can expect to remain on the waitlist (generally speaking) as well as cancellation and refund information.

 Q & A about the fundraiser. . .

Q:  When does the Light The Way fundraiser end?
A:  May 25

Q:  How do we turn in funds that are submitted by cash, or check/money order/cashier's check?
A:  Turn those funds in to me on May 26 or May 27, in Bldg. 5 Room 127 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Q:  Can we deposit cash into our own account and send to you via Venmo?
A:  Yes, use the information on the flyer to complete that process.

Q:  Why are checks/cashier's checks/money orders being made out to Mr. Jenkins?
A:  Our account has not been set-up with the school yet, and that process may not be finalized until next fall.  I didn't want students to have to hold on to that money if they were afraid of spending it before we return next fall.  Plus, travelers will need to submit funds for tips before we travel, so the Venmo and corresponding personal bank account was set up for that purpose.
